Easter Email Campaign: How One Email Drove $40K in 24 Hours

An Easter email campaign drove $40K in 24 hours with one simple tactic: an urgent deadline. Our beauty client’s offer was only available on Easter Sunday, so customers were pushed to buy right away. The results were impressive, with a 3.22% click rate and a 1.64% placed-order rate, both much higher than the 2026 average. Below, we’ll show you what we did, why it worked, and how to plan the same campaign for Easter 2027.

The Context & Challenge: Why Do Easter Email Campaigns Get Ignored?

Easter email campaigns get ignored because customers receive thousands of similar discount emails on the same day. The reason was that Easter is one of the biggest shopping holidays in the US. Therefore, the brand needed one email that people would actually be interested in within the golden 24 hours.

Why Is Easter a Big Sales Moment for eCommerce Brands in 2026?

Easter is a big sales moment for eCommerce brands in 2026 because US shoppers planned to spend a record $24.9 billion on the holiday, according to the NRF and Prosper Insights Easter 2026 survey. Gifts ($3.9 billion) and clothing ($3.7 billion) were two of the biggest categories, which is good news if you sell beauty gift sets or self-care products.

The Solution: How Did IMP Build the Easter Email Campaign?

IMP built the Easter email campaign around one idea: urgency. We made sure every element of the email emphasized the deadline to push customers to buy now (or never!).

Why Did the Easter Sale Last Only One Day?

Easter Email Design

The Easter sale lasted only one day because a short deadline gives people a reason to buy now instead of later. Marketers call this FOMO, the fear of missing out. When people believe an offer is about to disappear, they make up their minds faster.

A Klaviyo analysis of millions of Easter 2025–2026 email and SMS campaigns found that Easter campaign volume in the final seven days before Easter reached 27 times the normal level.

With that many Easter emails landing in the same week, our task was to make its deadline clear at a glance. We’re genuinely proud of how this one turned out. Beside is a part of the actual Easter email we designed for the brand. It’s bright, simple, and on-brand, and the deadline is the first thing you notice!

How Do We Create a Successful Easter Email Campaign?

We create a successful Easter email campaign through the same standardized six-step check. That may sound like a lot of work for one email. But when you only get one shot, a broken link or an image that doesn’t load on a phone can cost you real money.

The Result: What Did the Easter Email Campaign Achieve in 24 Hours?

The Easter email campaign brought in about $40,000 in revenue in 24 hours from one email sent to the beauty brand’s subscriber list. That’s nearly 27% of the store’s average revenue at the time.

We are really proud to help our client to achieve these impressive numbers for the Easter email marketing campaign. To evaluate if an email marketing campaign is successful or not, we compare the result with the industry benchmark. For this campaign:

  • The email’s 3.22% click rate was more than 4 times the 0.74% campaign average in Omnisend’s 2026 email marketing benchmarks, and
  • The email’s 1.64% placed-order rate was about 20 times the 0.08% average.

And here are more Easter email designs for our beauty client, which is the exact email design that brought in $40,000 in 24 hours!

The Lesson: What Can Brands Learn From This Easter Email Campaign?

The main lesson from this Easter email campaign is that a clear, urgent deadline increases customers’ interest. In our experience, many brands try to win during the holidays by cutting prices more deeply than their competitors. Surely, doing that brings in orders, but cutting prices also eats into your margins and harms your business in the long term.

Easter Email Campaign FAQ

When Should You Send an Easter Sale Email?

You should send an Easter sale email on the morning of the sale day, in your customer’s time zone. In this case study, the beauty brand sent its email for a one-day Easter Sunday sale. If your list is bigger, you can add a teaser email two or three days before Easter. Either way, test send times on a small segment first, because the best hour is different for every audience.

Should You Send One Email or a Series for Easter?

One email was enough in this case because the list was engaged and the sale only lasted one day. For longer sales, a series of two or three emails (teaser, launch, last chance) usually brings in more total revenue. Keep in mind that every extra email raises the risk of unsubscribes, so check your unsubscribe rate after each send. And keep your automated flows, like abandoned cart emails, running during the sale.

Which Metrics Matter Most After an Easter Email Campaign?

The metrics that matter most after an Easter email campaign are revenue, placed-order rate, and click rate. Open rate is less reliable because privacy features now count some emails as opened automatically. Compare the sale day with normal days of the same weekday, as this case study compared Easter Sunday with previous Sundays. And always check profit after the discount, not just revenue.
